hed, Soulful Sexuality, now and as an older woman by dumping the medical mindset of Menopause and re-discovering your sensual AND sexual freedoms.
For years, menopause had been seen as medical, the signs were illness symptoms and part of growing old, condemning women to life without sex in granny dresses and rocking chairs.

My experience of reading ?Sex, Age & Menopause? was of being elevated high on a wave of HG Ruby?s excitement and enthusiasm for her subject. The book is like an orgasm in itself, peppered with a delicious smorgasbord of poetry, information, inspiration, admonishments and beautifully constructed prose. I particularly enjoyed the forthright style of engaging the reader in a personal dialogue, sometimes teasing, and sometimes critical, but most times engaging and thought provoking.

Your experience of Menopause could be affected by the information you received from the important women in your family and what you feel and think about it. The way you think can strongly influence your body’s physical health.
Your mother, her mother, and the education they received - sexually, socially and psychologically - was controlled by the male-dominated medical practitioners of their time. It was all they had to pass on to you, peppered with their own personal anecdotes.
